BioDestain – ALKA (G) (Granular Alkaline Amylase for Detergents)


BioDestain – ALKA (G) is a non dusting alkaline amylase enzyme preparation derived from a selected strain of Bacillus spp. It hydrolyses insoluble starchy stains in to small, readily soluble compounds which can be removed easily during washing process.


BioDestain – ALKA (G) is a granular alkaline amylase enzyme for use in laundry & automatic dishwashing detergent formulations to decompose starch based stains like potato, food, carbohydrate, gravy, chocolate, baby food, oatmeal etc. into small, readily soluble compounds which can be removed easily during washing process.

ACTIVITY: The activity can be customized according to performance requirements or current use.

The performance of enzymes in detergents depends on number of factors, including the detergents composition, nature and concentration of stains to be removed, wash-water hardness, enzyme activity present in product at time of its use and process parameters.

The dosage can be optimized on basis of trial only and depends upon nature and concentration of stains to be removed and desired level of performance efficacy. It is recommended to begin with 0.2 % on weight of detergent formulation.

Enzymes designed for use in cleaning applications are compatible with commonly used detergent components in general. However it is recommended to test compatibility of BioDestain – ALKA (G) with the ingredients of detergents prior to their applications.

It is available in 50 KG HDPE Drums.

Cool & dry conditions are recommended. Extended storage or adverse conditions may lead to higher dosage requirement.

It can be stored in closed container up to six months at 25°C.

Enzyme preparation belongs to protein, which may induce sensitization and or cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes or mucous membrane of nose, so any direct contact with the human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, consult a doctor. MSDS is available on request.
